BRIDGEVILLE, Del. - Elizabeth Cross, 88, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at Ruxton Health of Denton.
Born in Bridgeville, Del., on Dec. 9, 1917, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Wallace.
She was a lifelong resident of Bridgeville and attended the Bridgeville School. She later married and was a homemaker raising her four children.
She had been a resident at Ruxton Health for seven years.
Mrs. Cross was a life member of the New Liberty Wesleyan Church of Federalsburg.
She is survived by four children, Leon Cross and his wife, Dee, of Seaford, Del., Louise Kemp and her husband, Ronald (also known as Donald) of Rhodesdale, Irene Zedney and her husband, Glen, of Newark, Del., and Linda Reid and her husband, Robert, of York, Pa. She is also survived by one half-brother, Lawrence Wallace of Bridgeville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent, who passed away Jan. 5, 1976, and by one newborn daughter, Kathleen.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at the New Liberty Wesleyan Church in Federalsburg with the Rev. Timothy Wilson officiating. Burial will take place at Bridgeville Cemetery.
The family received friends on Sunday evening.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the New Liberty Wesleyan Church, 28414 Bridgeville Road, Federalsburg, MD 21632.
The Williamson Funeral Home in Federalsburg is handling the arrangements.
