Efrem Vincent Wilson Sr., 41
CAMBRIDGE - Efrem Vincent Wilson Sr., transitioned to eternal life on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, in Dorchester General Hospital. He was 41. He was born in Cambridge on Jan. 17, 1967. Efrem received his early education in the Dorchester County Public Schools, where he graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School in 1985. Upon graduation, Efrem enlisted in to the military on July 19, 1985. Efrem served honorably in the United States Army at Fort Lee, Virginia and Korea. After receiving an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army as a Private, Efrem returned to Cambridge, where he was employed by various businesses; the latest of which was Trappe Frozen Foods in Trappe, Interstate Containers, Inc., and Tri-County Trenching of Cambridge. Efrem was well loved and known for his sharp appearance, easy going character, and loving attitude. He was an all around athlete and excelled at basketball and football. He acquired a love and appreciation for music. Efrem would gladly offer his services through song, for any situation. Efrem particularly loved to sing to his two lovely children, Efrem Jr. and Tykerra Wilson. These two children are a result of a union between Efrem Sr. and Tamya Murray Wilson of Cambridge. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Aker and Joan Wilson; his son, Efrem Wilson Jr.; his daughter, Tykerra Wilson, all of Cambridge; his grandmother, Helen Wilson of Oxford; his grandmother, Rosie Jones of Cambridge; his brother, Darryl Wilson (Elayna) of Atlanta, Ga.; his sister, Alfreda Wilson of Hurlock; a special friend, Deborah Cephas of Cambridge; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Homegoing services will take place 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at New Revelations Baptist Church located on 711 Bradley Ave., Cambridge. A viewing will take place one hour prior to service. Rev. William A. Hitchens Sr. will be officiating the services. Burial will be 9 a.m. Monday at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, Beulah. Homegoing services are entrusted to Boardley Funeral Home, 812 Hubbard St., Cambridge.
