LEXINGTON, Ky. - Edgar (Ed) W. Brannock Jr., age 64, died at his residence in Lexington, Ky., on Aug. 18, 2011. Ed was born Jan. 1, 1947, the oldest son of the late Edgar W. Brannock, Sr. and Betty R. Brannock of Cambridge, Md. Ed was a 1965 graduate of Cambridge High School, and graduated from WV Institute of Technology, Montgomery, W.Va. in 1968 with an Associate Degree in Drafting and Design Engineering Technology. He was retired from Lowe's, Inc. Ed was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Cambridge. In addition to his wife, Susan, of 27 years, Ed is survived by two sons, Stephen and Chad (Cyndi) Brannock; his step-daughter, Sandy Brandon; step-son, Bryan (Marsha) Nelson; his brothers Mike (Beverly) and Mark Brannock, and five grandchildren, Michael Brandon, Alexandra Nelson, and Justin, Janae, and Haley Brannock. Private visitation was held prior to cremation. A memorial service date is pending. In honor of Ed's life and legacy, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association and/or the American Diabetes Association.
