EASTON - Edgar Hoffmaster McGrath, 73, also known as E.H., passed away Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at Genesis Health Care, The Pines in Easton.
Born in Fruitland on Oct. 9, 1933, he was the son of the late Edgar H. and Helen Mezick McGrath Sr.
Mr. McGrath attended the Wicomico High School and graduated Class of 1951, and went on to Goldey Beacom College graduating with the Class of 1953 before serving his country in the U.S. Army and being discharged with a rank of PFC.
After the Army he embarked on a career in accounting while living in Federalsburg and Oxford before moving to Easton.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Joan McCrea of Easton; two sons, Michael Jay McGrath and his partner, Paul John Washo of Cambridge, Christopher McGrath of Oxford and one brother, Gregory Eric McGrath of Petersburg, Va. He is also survived by one grandson, Connor Bailey McGrath of Oxford.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth McGrath.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
For those who desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Eastern Shore Chapter, 290C Milford St., Salisbury, MD 21804.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Williamson Funeral Home, 311 South Main St., Federalsburg.
