Earl E. Eskridge Jr.

MARDELA SPRINGS - Earl E. Eskridge, Jr., 81, of Mardela Springs, died Aug. 2, 2015, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. He was born in Riverton, a son of the late Earl E. Eskridge Sr. and Catherine Eskridge. He retired from the state of Maryland as a bridge operator, serving locations in Sharptown and Salisbury. He was also a accomplished carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Beulah Eskridge of Mardela Springs; his son, Keith Eskridge of Mardela Springs; and a daughter, Cindy Melvin of Mardela Springs; two brothers, Donald and Richard Eskridge both of Mardela Springs; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Edward S. Eskridge. A graveside service was held in Riverton United Methodist Church Cemetery on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015. Arrangements are in the care of the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel.
