The Downtown SBY Egg Hunt is returning for its 5th year, with 30,000 eggs hidden all over Downtown this Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
This free community event takes place on North Division Street and on the Plaza in Downtown Salisbury, and is open to kids ages birth to 12-years-old, just bring your own baskets, buckets or bags!
The Downtown SBY Egg Hunt is broken up into several areas, with separate egg hunts taking place, for ages 0 to 2, 3 to 5, 6 to 8, 9 to 12 and for children with special needs. The start times for the different age groups’ hunts are staggered to accommodate children in multiple age groups.
There will also be games, prizes, food trucks and pictures with the Easter Bunny presented by Rivers Edge Apartments and Studio for the Arts.
Registration & Check-In begins at noon on North Division Street. There is no charge to participate, but children must be registered, check-in, and be accompanied by a guardian at times! Save time the day of by pre-registering online at www.DowntownSBYEggHunt.com.
“Downtown Salisbury is the center of community life for our city. For five years now one of the largest gatherings of kids and parents in our city has been the Downtown SBY Egg Hunt, it is just fantastic to see” said Mayor Jake Day.
Additionally, many of the Downtown businesses will be open and hosting special promotions.
The Downtown SBY Egg Hunt is a project of The Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District, in partnership with The city of Salisbury, and Remedy Church, with sponsorship support provided by Rivers Edge Apartments & Studio for the Arts, First Shore Federal, and Devreco.
Free parking is available every weekend Downtown in the parking garage and city of Salisbury parking lots 11 and 1.
