SALISBURY - Dorothy Christian Holland died Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Ellicott City, she was the daughter of the late Charles Thomas Christian and Clara Odessa Bennett Christian. She was a member of the former Lighthouse Wesleyan Church in Fruitland and attended Athol Baptist Church in Mardela Springs. She retired as a comptroller for the town of Ocean Pines and for a cable company in Ocean City. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Christian. She is survived by her spouse, Pastor Wayne Holland; three children, Michelle "Shelley" Lynn Rinker, of Triangle, N.Y., Brian Edward Holland, of Marion, N.C., and Kevin Wayne Holland, of Alexandria, Va.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Helen Brown, of Churchill, Tenn., Bonnie Malchow, of Jacksonville, Fla., Betty Turner, of Salisbury, and Martha Smith, of Salisbury; a brother, Robert Christian, of Rogersville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was at Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron.
