MANTENO, Ill. - Dorothy Hillburg, a former Cambridge, Md., resident, died Sept. 10, 2010, at the Illinois Veterans Home in Manteno. She was 88. Born in Omaha, Neb., on July 19, 1922, Dorothy grew up in Racine, Wis., where she graduated from St. Catherine's High School. She served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II. She came to Cambridge with her late husband, Kenneth Hillburg, who was the controller for Western Printing and American Yearbook. She was a member of the Cambridge Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered at the Robin Hood Shop. The Hillburgs were also members of the Cambridge Country Club and the Cambridge Yacht Club. Mrs. Hillburg was preceded in death by her first husband, Air Force Lt. A. C. Milligan, who was killed in action during the Korean War, and by her second husband Kenneth Hillburg, who passed away in 2000. She is survived by two sons, Bill Hillburg and his wife Myra of Fairfax, Va., and John Hillburg of Mt. Prospect, Ill.; granddaughters Emily Hillburg of Hollywood, Calif., and Anna Hillburg of San Francisco, Calif.; and a sister, Mary Lethbridge of Nantucket, Mass.
