CAMBRIDGE - Dorothy Ann Kable Donohue, 70, died at her home on Friday, Nov. 24, 2006.

Born on Nov. 29, 1935 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Robert Kable and Carolyn Arminger Kable Hildebrand of Northeast.

On June 4, 1955, she married Daniel L. Donohue Sr. He died on Feb. 3, 1997.

Mr. and Mrs. Donohue had a summer home since 1965 at Taylors Island. In 1983 they moved from Baltimore, making their permanent home on Taylors Island.

She was a communicant of St. Mary, Refuge of Sinners Catholic Church and attended the mission church St. Mary, Star of the Sea in Golden Hill while residing on Taylors Island.

Since 1999, Mrs. Donohue has resided in Cambridge.

Mrs. Donohue accumulated more than 3,500 volunteer service hours with the Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary assisting at the hospital and Robin Hood Shop.

She also had a small, local shell art business named DKD Shell Art where displays were present at Bay Country Shop and various local events.

Surviving besides her mother, Carolyn Arminger Kable Hildebrand of Northeast, are her four children, Kevin M. Donohue of Baltimore, Daniel L. Donohue Jr. of Cambridge, Timothy P. Donohue of Abingdon, Colleen E. Townsley of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Carolyn Howard of North Carolina, Susan Arringdale of Northeast; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her father and husband was a brother, Robert Kable Jr.

A visitation will be held tonight from 7 to 9 at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., 308 High St., Cambridge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Mary, Refuge of Sinners Catholic Church, Glasgow Street and Hambrooks Boulevard., Cambridge.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Bel Air Road., Baltimore. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. 9705 Bel Air Road, Baltimore. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, Baltimore.

Memorial offerings may be made in Mrs. Donohue"s memory to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802-1733.
