SEAFORD, Del. - Doris S. Wright, age 83, of Seaford, Del. peacefully passed away in her home in the early morning on March 29, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was a very active member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church in Seaford and was well loved by her church family. Doris and her husband volunteered at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford and in their community. Doris joins her parents, Albert and Viola Satterfield; her brothers, William and Allen Satterfield; and her sister, Jean Lane in heaven. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, William Wright; sisters, Jeanette Baker, Shirley Satterfield and Joyce Coyne; daughter, Sherry Beckham and husband, Tim; daughter, Sandy Truitt and husband Keith; and grandchildren, Tyler, Rachel, Kate and Zac. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St., Seaford, Del. where friends called from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Burial was in Bridgeville Cemetery. Donations may be made in memory of Doris to Delaware Hospice Inc., 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
