Diana Lynn Robbins

CAMBRIDGE - Diana Lynn Robbins, age 64, of Cambridge, died Sunday night, July 17, 2011, where she was pronounced deceased at Dorchester General Hospital. Born on Aug. 22, 1946, in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Burtrum Tyler and Leona Elizabeth Aaron Tyler. Mrs. Robbins was a graduate of Cambridge High School, Class of 1964. She also studied Hospitality at Chesapeake College and the Starkey International Institute for Household Management in Denver, Colo. On Nov. 1, 1980, she married Louis Powell "Lou" Robbins. Mrs. Robbins had been employed by Sears Roebuck Co., The Daily Banner, Dorchester County Board of Education and most recently for Tudor Farms. Diana enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and in particular her beloved grandchildren. She liked to fish and travel places both near and far. Surviving besides her husband of 31 years, Lou Robbins; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Beth Smarr D'Amico and John Nicholas D'Amico of Salisbury; daughter, Nicole Elinor Robbins of East New Market; three grandchildren, Tully Logan Wise, Oakley Aaron Wise and John Nicholas "Nico" D'Amico, Jr., all of Salisbury; four sisters, Sue Hollins of Cambridge, Ann Brogley of Easton, Shirley Brannock and Faye Bender, both of Salisbury; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Helen Tyler of Secretary, and William and Carolyn Tyler of Cambridge; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death besides her parents were two brothers, Henry "Hank" Tyler and Gilbert Tyler; and two sisters, Marion Holloway and Betty Lou Willey. Funeral services were 11 a.m., Thursday, July 21, at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge, where the family received friends one hour prior to the service. Officiating at the service was The Rev. Randall Blackmon. Burial followed at Dorchester Memorial Park.
