Deborah Ann Cornish

CAMBRIDGE - Deborah Ann Cornish, 53, of Cambridge, departed this life Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She was born Aug. 5, 1958, in Cambridge, Md., to the late Randall and Mary Keene Cornish. She was a member of the Cambridge High School, Class of 1976. She held various jobs in Dorchester and Talbot County and worked at Coldwater Seafood until her health failed. Debbie is survived by two loving sons, Larry Cornish and John (Aqueelah) Cornish; a daughter, Crystal Cornish (Cambridge); 12 grandchildren, Jy'Naja McCoy, Ja'Veon Cornish, Jy'Vierre Cornish, Jy'Mere Fells, Akeera Cornish, Ja'Mysha Cornish, Jonet Best, La'Terriah Cornish, La'Nyaija Cornish, Jamiere Massey, Si'Niya Newnam, Tobias Cooper Jr.; two brothers, Randall Cornish Jr. and Bradrick Cornish; one sister, Rhonda Cornish (all of Cambridge); grandmother, Bernice Cornish; her best friend and companion, Fred Bishop Sr., a special cousin, Patricia (Marvin) Hughes; an aunt, Patricia (Rudolph) Johnson; eight uncles, Gothlee (Phyllis) Johnson, Bobby (Emma) Johnson, Henry Johnson, Medford Johnson, Melvin (Rosemary) Johnson, Doug Johnson, Joseph Martin (all of Cambridge), and Ronald Johnson (Brooklyn, N.Y.); Debbie leaves special friends, Georgetta Collins and Jackie Skinner (both of Cambridge) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Tevis Cornish; grandparents, Leroy Matthews, Gothlee and Mable Keene Johnson; aunt, Elois Stinson Martin; a nephew, Andrew Cornish; and cousins, Lois Stinson and Kenneth Stinson. Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Waugh Chapel United Methodist Church, 425 High St., Cambridge, with a viewing Friday evening 6 to 8 p.m. at Henry Funeral Home PA, Cambridge.
