BEL AIR - David W. Johnson, 60, formerly of Cambridge, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2007, at the University of Maryland Specialty Hospital in Baltimore.
He was born in Cambridge on Nov. 16, 1946, and was a son of the late William Noble and Beverly Meland Johnson.
Mr. Johnson attended schools in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1965. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on June 15, 1965, and was honorably discharged on June 11, 1968.
Some years ago David had operated the Stockyard Supper Club in Easton and later had managed the Purple Moose Saloon at Ocean City. For the past nine years he had been living in Bel Air.
Survivors include a half brother, Michael R. Simmons of Cambridge; two cousins, Glenn Robinson and Betsy Davis, both of Cambridge.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in the Chapel of the Maryland Veterans' Cemetery with the Rev. Denzil T. Cheek officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
