CAMBRDIGE - Crystal Murray Moore, 47, passed away on Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, at the Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
She was born in Ft. Washington Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and was a daughter of John Joseph and Theora Oswald Murray.
Crystal graduated from Cambridge-South Dorchester High School in 1977. She then attended Salisbury State College where she graduated in 1982 with a degree in psychology.
On April 21, 1984 she was married to Richard W. "Dickie" Moore Jr. Mrs. Moore had been very involved at the Country School at Easton and also at the Salisbury School in Salisbury.
She enjoyed knitting and had taught knitting for several years. She was an active member of the Dorchester Arts Center and had been involved in the Dorchester Showcase for several years. She had been in failing health for the past year.
Survivors include her husband, Richard W. "Dickie" Moore Jr. of Cambridge; two daughters, Cavin A. Moore of Cambridge and Henley E. Moore of Cambridge; her parents, John J. and Theora O. Murray of Medina, Ohio; three sisters, Robin Murray of Medina, Ohio, Colleen Murray Jones and her husband, Brian Jones of Medina, Ohio, and Shawne Whary and her husband, Charles Whary of Medina, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with the Rev. Tim Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends during the hour preceding the service. Burial will take place at a later date at Christ Episcopal Churchyard in Cambridge.
