Guthrie, III, 53 Bethlehem, Md. - Clinton Wyatt Guthrie, III, beloved brother of Karen Guthrie, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at his home in Bethlehem. He was 53. Born April 25, 1962, in Easton, Md. he was the son of the late Clinton Wyatt Guthrie, Jr. and Catherine Walls Noble. Clinton grew up in Ridgely, Md. In his young years he rode horses with his mother and sister. He competed in horse shows with his ponies, Shining Sugar Spots and The Chimney Sweep and won many ribbons and trophies. He was a member of the Pluruosa Lane 4 –H Riding Club, the Cub Scouts and the Boy Scouts receiving numerous merit badges. Clinton graduated from Salisbury State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, Computers and Psychology. Throughout his life he had a variety of jobs, running rides in Ocean City, driving a taxi in Salisbury and later managing a restaurant in Preston. His dream was to get his Ph.D. in Psychology and become Dr. Guthrie. He was in the process of trying to start his own computer repair business. His interests were; psychology and computers. He loved animals, particularly cats, exotic pets and wildlife. He is survived by his step-father, Lee Noble; his sister, Karen Guthrie and her husband, David Fairbank; and his pets, Purr and Squirrel. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Junior Order Cemetery in Preston. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made in Clinton's honor to the Caroline County Humane Society 407 West Bell Street, Ridgely, MD 21660.
