SALISBURY - Clare C. Adams Ripple died Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, surrounded by family. Born in Baltimore, her parents were the late George and Mary Adams. She attended Blessed Sacrament Elementary School and graduated from Towson Catholic High School. In November 1947, Clare married her husband, Charles J. Ripple and they moved to Salisbury in 1950. She worked for Stewart Co. and the Alex Brown Co. in Baltimore, while in Salisbury she worked at Farm Credit and Arundel Products, where she retired after 17 years. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Charles Ripple Sr.; her daughter, Catherine Taylor; her son, Charles J. Ripple Jr.; two granddaughters; two stepgrandsons; two great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, James Adams, Mary Opdyke, Earl Adams, Regina Conroy, Ann Cook, Alfred Adams, George Adams and Pat Adams. A Mass of Christian burial was held Thursday, June 7, 2018, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Salisbury. Burial will followed at Spring Hill Memory Gardens in Hebron. Arrangements are in the care of Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury.
