In an effort to support the ongoing success of Perdue Farms’ e-commerce business, PerdueFarms.com, Chris Perdue has been named Vice President of E-Commerce.
“Chris played an integral role as director of e-commerce in the successful 2020 launch of the company’s first ecommerce website,” said David Zucker, Chief Marketing Officer and senior vice president of e-commerce for Perdue Farms.
“He brings extensive marketing, digital, and consumer expertise to our team as we continue to expand this sales channel,” Zucker said. “His genuine passion for our brand and people will accelerate how we provide a meaningful buying experience to current and future shoppers.”
Perdue is a fourth-generation member of the Perdue family and an advertising brand spokesman. He joined the company in 2013 in the Georgetown Harvest Plant as a Breast Debone Team Leader before moving to our Salisbury Harvest Plant as a First Processing Shift Leader.
From there, he assumed various roles with increasing responsibilities, including Grain Merchandiser and Director of Inventory Management for Perdue Agribusiness.
He will also serve as a member of Perdue’s Government Relations Steering Committee. Perdue is a graduate of Wake Forest University and lives in Salisbury with his wife Chrissy and two sons.
He serves on the boards of the Greater Salisbury Committee and Salisbury-Wicomico Economic Development, the Board of Governors for the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and the Executive Advisory Council of the Salisbury University Perdue School of Business.
