Charles Warren Todd

Charles Warren Todd, 75 CAMBRIDGE - Charles Warren Todd, of Cambridge, passed away at the Dorchester General Hospital, Cambridge, Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008. He was 75. He was born at Toddville on June 2, 1933, and was a son of the late Charles M. and Ada Mills Todd. Charles attended schools at Toddville, and served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He served with the Cambridge Police Dept. from October of 1967 until he retired in June of 1995. He was a member of Choptank Memorial Post 7460 VFW. Charles enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching the Orioles. He was stricken suddenly on Thursday morning and was taken to Dorchester General Hospital where he passed away. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Meekins; and four brothers, Monroe "Pete" Todd, Omro Todd, Wilson Todd and Brice Todd. Survivors include his wife, Nancy R. Todd of Cambridge; one daughter, Bonnie Willey and her husband Jeffrey Willey of Cambridge; one granddaughter, Zoey Willey; one grandson, Zachary Willey; one brother, Bennett Todd of Pittsville; two sisters, Carolyn Jones of Toddville and Evelyn Miller of Easton; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Thomas Funeral Home, Cambridge, with the Rev. Joe Kelly officiating. Interment will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends during the hour preceding the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cambridge Fraternal Order of Police Chapter 27, P.O. Box 401, Cambridge, MD 21613. Pallbearers will be Bill Twilley, Luther Ruark, Elmer Ruark, Jeffrey Willey, Clarence Ruark, Joe Ruark and Reggie Powley.
