FRUITLAND - Charles Richard Revel Sr. died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, at his home. Born in Millsboro, he was the son of the late Charles Walter Revel and Rhoda Marie Wootten Revel.
He was a former member of the Moose Lodge 654 and attended Crossroads Church of God in Fruitland. He retired as an assistant manager for the former B. Green Wholesale Grocery business in 2005 and then he worked for Black Dog Paving until 2008.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Peggy Ann Dunn Revel; two daughters, Amanda Andrews of Fruitland and Peggy Konopik of Salisbury; three sons, Charles Revel Jr. of Parsonsburg, James Revel of Salisbury and Paul Revel of Fruitland; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Donald Revel of Salisbury. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Marie Slate.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was at Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron.
