Catherine H. Bell, 62, passed away suddenly at her home, Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007.
She was born in Cambridge on July 12, 1944, and was a daughter of the late William Perry and Anna Rippons Hall.
She graduated from North Dorchester High School in 1962. She received her LPN from the Eastern Shore Hospital and later received her RN from Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury and went on to earn her B.S. Degree in Nursing from Wilmington College. For a number of years she had worked as an RN in the ICU at Dorchester General Hospital.
She was first married to Larry W. Woodward in 1963, and was later married to John E. Bell in 1987. He passed away on Aug. 19, 2006.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa D. Willey of Cambridge and Leah J. Lednum of Linkwood; five grandchildren, Petty Officer Charles Worth of Connecticut, John B. Worth of Cambridge, Joshua K. Worth of Cambridge, Rachael N. Lednum of Linkwood and David C. Lednum of Linkwood; two great-grandchildren, Summer Worth of Connecticut and Cameron Worth of Connecticut; a sister, Carolyn B. Palmer of Cambridge and one niece and one nephew.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. George W. Wheatley officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Holly Foundation, C/O DDA, 3 Cedar St., Cambridge, MD 21613.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge.
