DELMAR - Bryan Jeffrey Van Zandt died at his home on Tuesday, Apr. 25, 2017. Born in Suffern, N.Y., he was a son of Jeffrey James Van Zandt and Deborah Ann Ganoe Van Zandt, of Sharptown. He graduated from Mardela High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree at Salisbury University. He worked as an installer for Herl's Bath and Tile in Salisbury, where he worked his way up into management. He coached his son's soccer team and recently began attending St. George's United Methodist Church in Delmar. He was preceded in death by a sister, Karianne Wilkins. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jennifer Kowalski Van Zandt; a son, Nathan Robert Van Zandt; stepchildren, Allyson, Brandon and Christopher Thompson; a sister, Kristina Ann Riggin; a grandmother, Norma L. Ganoe; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Sunday, Apr. 30, 2017, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Interment was at Firemen's Cemetery in Sharptown. Arrangements are being handled by Short Funeral Home of Delmar.
