This week is the next 3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury. This month’s theme is Paw Prints, and it’s all about our furry friends,
3rd Friday is going to the dogs, with special activities, vendors and nonprofit groups for canines. So bring the pooch for a night out in Downtown Salisbury.
On North Division Street, the Salisbury Kennel Club will show off their agility dogs’ skills with live demos, plus a special participation area where you can test your dog’s abilities on some beginner agility courses.
K-9 Heeling will be doings live obedience demonstrations periodically throughout the evening. Plus, stop by and meet Downtown Salisbury’s very own groomer Smooches Fur Pooches in their North Division Street location next to Edit Downtown Salon.
Grab a bite at Vittles Food Truck, create your own cupcake at Cake Art or stop by Olde Towne Deli where 10 percent of every purchase goes to help local families affected by spina bifida.
On the Plaza, there will be live music by local chick rockers Red Letter Day from 5 to 8 p.m., plus artists and crafters will line the street with local handmade items for sale, including special handmade items just for Fido.
The Jaycees will be pouring local craft beer and wine selections. Plus, the Ward Museum will be on the Plaza doing salt-dough paw imprint crafts, so stop by and create your own keepsake.
On St. Peters Street, just off the Plaza, St. Peters Episcopal Church will hold their annual Blessing of the Animals in the courtyard at 5:45 and 6:15 p.m.
There will be doggie treats, water bowls, their famous burgers and dogs on the grill, and activities for the kids, so stop on by.
The downtown shops are ready for the Paw Prints theme with sales and special events! At Kuhn's Jewelers, be sure to check out their pawsitively fun sterling silver dog themed jewelry that is locally made, plus all in-stock Pearls are 30 percent off the entire month of June.

Roadie Joe’s Bar and Grill will have live music for the happy hour crowd by Smooth and Remy from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., and a DJ late night.
Brew River will have a Friday Night Dock Party with the Bo Dickerson Band from 6 to 10 p.m. and DJ Goni late night and Market Street Inn will have late night jams by DJ Rusty Griswald! Mojos will have great dinner specials, a DJ Seth B Vinyl set from 4 to 8 p.m. and Video DJ Vybe from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.
