Beulah I. Schulte, 88

EASTON - Beulah Ida Schulte, 88, died on Friday, March 14, 2008 at William Hill Manor in Easton.

Born Dec. 5, 1919 in St. Louis, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Hattie Riske Salinger. Her husband, Col. Orville John "Dutch" Schulte, whom she married July 17, 1942, died Feb. 11, 2000.

Known to friends as "Boo" she was active in her community. She spent time working with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and was a mebmer of the Officers' Wives Club. While living in Los Gatos, Calif., she was a member of the Rinconada Hills Newcomers Welcome Club. Since moving to Easton in 2001, she attended the Easton Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Schulte is survived by two children, Karen M. Fisher of Easton and Dennis J. Schulte of Santa Barabara, Calif.; a brother, Harry Salinger Jr.; two grandchildren, Darren Fisher and his wife, Tina and Robyne Chaconas and her husband, Gus and three great-grandchildren, Camden, Cole and C. J.

A memorial remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the William Hill Manor Auditorium in Easton. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. at 1 p.m. on April 15.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Eastern Shore Chapter, 209 Milford St., Salisbury, MD 21804 or the Memorial Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 1846, Easton, Md 21601.

Arrangements are by the Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, PA in Easton.
