Betty L. Insley, 67

MADISON - Betty L. Insley, 67, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at Dorchester General Hospital. She was born in Church Creek on May 27, 1941, and was a daughter of the late Walter R. and Maud Abbott Aaron. Mrs. Insley attended schools in Dorchester County. On Jan. 4, 1964, she married Carl C. Insley. She was a seamstress for 15 years at Rob Roy and then she worked on the water with her husband. Mrs. Insley enjoyed gardening. She is survived by her husband Carl Insley of Madison, a son Gene Aaron of Hurlock, two brothers Robert L. Aaron of East New Market and Walter G. Aaron of Cambridge, a sister Dorothy Aaron of Hoopers Island, an aunt, an uncle, several nieces, nephews and sister in laws. Besides her parents, Mrs. Insley is preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Bright and a brother, William R. Aaron. Pallbearers will be Ken Bright, Turtle North, Freddie Spedden, Charles Moore and Howard "Boy" Frazier. Honorary pallbearer will be Terry Vincent. A graveside service will be held today, March 27, at 10 a.m. at Old Trinity Churchyard with Pastor Dave Stewart officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
