Betty L. Cordrey

MARDELA SPRINGS - Betty L. Cordrey died Aug. 9, 2015, at Coastal Hospice by the Lake. She was the daughter of the late Edward Donoho and Annie Cox Donoho. She is survived by a daughter, Judith Gilliss of Sharptown; three granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Hursel Cordrey; and a brother, Ward Donoho. She worked for many years as a seamstress at Bounds Shirt Factory and was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Athol, where she was raised and for many years was very active with church dinners. In later years she attended Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Mardela Springs. A funeral service was held Aug. 14 at Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment followed in Mardela Memorial Cemetery.
