Barbara Nadine Williams Bennett

SALISBURY - Barbara Nadine Williams Bennett died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury. Born in Fruitland, her parents were the late Louis and Edith Rock Williams.
She graduated from the former Salisbury High School in 1954 and then Bowie State University. She taught in Lower Shore schools and then received a master's degree att Morgan State University earning a Master of Science Degree, qualifying as a specialist in Mathematics. She worked as a specialist with Baltimore City Schools until returning to Salisbury for her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Zion Church in Salisbury for 30 years.
She is survived by her sister, Rebecca Newsome of Hampton, Va.; her brother, Roosevelt Williams of Philadelphia; two goddaughters, Sonya Williams of Philadelphia and Sharon Anderson Jones of Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Bennett; five brothers; and three sisters.
A funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020, at St. Paul A. M. E. Zion Church in Salisbury. Interment was in Green Acres Memorial Park in Salisbury. Arrangements are in the care of Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury.
