Barbara Ann Era

Barbara Ann Era, 69

HURLOCK - Barbara Ann Era, 69, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008 at her residence.

She was born April 19, 1938 in Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Minos Hughes and Agnes "Kiddo" Moxey Hughes.

She loved sewing, quilting and crafts.

Mrs. Era is survived by three sons, Norman J. "Butch" Era of Hurlock, James F. Era Sr. of Rhodesdale and Mike A. Era of Hurlock; three daughters, Donna M. Era of Linkwood, Angel D. Biskach of Hurlock and Michelle "Shelly" Era of Hurlock; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchidlren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman J. "Sonny" Era, who died on Dec. 15, 2004; one brother, Donald Hughes and one sister, Jeanette Wallace.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Secretary. The Rev. Anthony F. Greco will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Wallace, William Wallace, James F. Era Jr., Martin Era, Arvie Ruark, Jeff Elliott, William Gullion and John Gullion. Honorary Pallbearers will be Phillip Era and Norman J. Era III.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
