SALISBURY - Barbara Ann Edwards, 85, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016. Born in Bloomsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry B. Edwards, Jr. and Martha E. Edwards. She attended Bryn Mawr Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia and received her Medical Records Accreditation Degree in 1974 in Salisbury. She was employed at Peninsula Regional Medical Center for 20 years, where she was the Manager of Medical Records and Transcription Department. Upon retiring from PRMC, she worked at King Fah'd Armed Forces Hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Upon returning to the United States, she retired in 1996 from Chesapeake Rehabilitation Hospital in Salisbury, where she held the position of Director of Medical Records. She was a past President of the VFW Post 194 Auxiliary in Salisbury, a past member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Hebron and Freshwater Dream Center. She is survived by two daughters, Pamela B. Webster and Rebecca S. Mills; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a step-great-granddaughter. A Celebration of Life was held Aug. 2, 2016, at Parkway Church of God in Salisbury.
