Austrian organist Lukas Hasler will perform in a free concert at Asbury United Methodist Church in Salisbury on Saturday, Jan. 15, at 4 p.m.
Halser studied organ at the Académie Supérieure de Musique de Strasbourg in France and at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria. He has won prestigious competitions in Russia, Israel and four European countries.
With more than 50,000 followers on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter, Hasler has become one of the world’s most successful organists on social media. He performed at a New Year’s Eve concert at Ascension Church in Munich, Germany, and is preparing for a four-state tour in the United States, including Maryland.
His concert in Salisbury will include works by J.S. Bach, Felix Mendelssohn and French organist Charles-Marie Widor.
