Audrey Elzey Mitchell, 69 GLEN BURNIE - Audrey Elzey Mitchell, 69, formerly of Cambridge, passed away on Sunday July 20, 2008 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie. She was born at Smithville on May 16, 1939 and was a daughter of the late Ottie C. and Dorothy Keene Elzey. She graduated from Anne Arundel Community College where she received her AA Degree in nursing. Ms. Mitchell served in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 until 1965. She worked and retired from the Eastern Shore State Hospital. After she retired, she worked at Warwick Manor. She loved her dog Poncho. She is survived by a son, John Mitchell and wife, Vicki of Glen Burnie, two granddaughters, Dorothy Mitchell and Kayla Dawson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Elzey. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
