Anthony Watson Sr.

SALISBURY - Anthony Eugene Watson, Sr. died at Peninsula Regional Medical Center on Sunday, March 29, 2015. He was born in Lewes, to the late John Watson, Sr. and Mattie DuPont Watson. He attended Frankford Elementary and Lord Baltimore Schools. He was a chicken catcher at Mountaire Farms and Perdue Farms for many years. Known to many as "Antman," he was a loving and devoted father, brother and uncle, as well as a good friend to everyone. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Anthony E. Watson, Jr.; and one brother, Jimmie L. Watson. He is survived by his companion of nine years, Matilda White; two daughters, Aisha Wescott and Terisha Watson; two sons, Antonio Watson Sr. and Jimmie Taylor; two step-daughters, Ashlie Fields and Michelle Fields; four sisters, Diane Watson, Mary Watson, Sarah Murray, and Sharon Sutton; five brothers, John Watson, Jr., Willie Watson, Timothy Watson, Irvin Sutton, and Ivan Sutton; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held Saturday, April 4, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Salisbury. Interment was in Green Acres Memorial Park in Salisbury.
