A capstone event of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce's year -- the 28th annual Economic Forecast -- will be held Thursday, Dec. 17, at Wor-Wic Community College.

Those who attend will be able to hear firsthand what leading regional economists and business leaders say are the biggest challenges ahead.

The Economic Forecast has been designed to help Delmarva businesses plan for the expected economic conditions for the future year ahead. Experts from around the Eastern Shore will gather to analyze the current challenges facing the regional, the national and global economy.

Presentations are made regarding specific industries as well as areas of interest to the Eastern Shore.

At noon that Thursday, the Chamber will hold its annual Eastern Shore Delegation Luncheon featuring our delegates and senators, who will share their thoughts on what will be the “hot buttons” for the 2016 Maryland General Assembly session.

The day’s schedule:

Registration & Continental Breakfast — 7:30 to 8:00 a.m.

Economic Forecast Program — 8:00 a.m. to noon.

Eastern Shore Delegation Forum Luncheon — noon to 1:30 p.m.

The cost for the Economic Forecast Program is $50; the Eastern Shore Delegation Forum is $25.
