Anne Tilghman Berch Muller

HUNT VALLEY - Anne Tilghman Berch Muller, 77, of Hunt Valley and formerly of Crisfield, died on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, at Gilchrist Hospice Care in Towson. Raised in Crisfield, she was the daughter of the late Simmons Peter and Emily Anne Lawson Tilghman. She attended Crisfield High School and later graduated from St. Mary's Seminary Junior College. She furthered her education at the University of Maryland College Park where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She taught for several years, and was Department Manager at the former Hutzler's Department Store. She worked at Snelling and Snelling Employment Agency, and later at Johns Hopkins University where she worked 30 years until she retired as Director of Human Resources. She enjoyed volunteering at the Senior Center in Cockeysville, and playing bridge and Mahjong with friends. She is survived by her daughter, Julia D. Berch of Hunt Valley; and several cousins. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, William D. Muller. Friends called 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. A procession to the graveside service at Sunnyridge Memorial Park followed. Mr. Kim Lawson officiated. Arrangements are in the care of Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield.
