Annabelle Chester

CAMBRIDGE - Annabelle Chester, 79, passed away on Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at Dorchester General Hospital.

She was born Oct. 12, 1927, in Cordtown, daughter of the late Isaac Jones and Edna Cephas Chester.

Annabelle attended the public schools in Dorchester County and was employed and retired from Hanover Foods (Factory C).

She enjoyed her family.

She is survived by three children, a son, Troy Chester and two daughters, Paulette Chester and Rudeara Bailey; four grandchildren, Andrea Chester, Brandon Chester, Keita Bailey and Oji Bailey; three great-grandchildren; sister, Lillian Jones; brother, Cecil Jones and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, a son, Frederick Bailey; sister, Dorothy Chester; a close friend, Elson Cornish, three aunts and an uncle preceded her in death.

Services will be held on Saturday, at 1 p.m. at National Church of God, 807 Washington St., Cambridge with a viewing held one hour prior to the services. The Revs. Lemuel and Lavone Chester are the officiating ministers.

The Henry Funeral Home, PA is handling the arrangements.
