CAMBRIDGE - Anna Wallace Pink, 88, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at Dorchester General Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Cambridge, on March 2, 1918, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy L. and Pearl McNamara Wallace.
Following graduation from Cambridge High School, she attended Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Va.
In 1941 she married Harold E. Pink, who passed away in 1985. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn W. Malmberg, who died in 2002.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Ann Pink Hollen and Brenda Pink Hayward; sons-in-law, Dale S. Hollen and Armond Hayward II, and a grandson, Armond Hayward III.
She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, the Cambridge Yacht Club, the National Humane Society, and a Friend of the Dorchester County Public Library.
A private graveside service for the immediate family was held Saturday with the Rev. Kevin E. English of Zion Church officiating. There was no viewing. Burial was in the family plot at Old Trinity Church.
Arrangements were by Thomas Funeral Home, P.A.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Dorchester County, Inc., P.O. Box 132, Cambridge, MD 21613, or to the Endowment Fund of Zion United Methodist Church, 612 Locust St., Cambridge, MD 21613.
