EASTON - Anna V. Jones died on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at Memorial Hospital Easton. She was 93.

She was born June 17, 1914, in Talbot County to the late Milton G. and Dorothy Dulin Ewing. After attending public school, she married Thomas F. Jones "the dog catcher" on Nov. 5, 1936.

She sold Stanley products for over 20 years. In 1959 she began working at the Talbot County Humane Society. After 38 years of dedicated service, she retired from there Dec. 1, 1988.

She was a member of the American Legion Post #70 Ladies Auxiliary, Easton, and the Easton Moose Lodge #1520 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing solitaire, skip bo and doing search-a-word puzzles.

Mrs. Jones is survived by six children, Dottie Lednum of St. Michaels, Tommy Jones, Jr., of Easton, Hilda Reese and her husband John of Preston, and Frances Sinclair of Easton, who she lived with since 1984. She is also survived by Frances Sinclair's companion Bill Duvall, of Cambridge, Ginny Cheezum and her husband Doug of Cordova, Bob Jones and his wife Sharon of Neavitt, one brother Joe Ewing of Federalsburg, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who died on March 23, 1984, and a daughter, Barbara Loudermilk, who died in 1976, and by three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, Easton. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
