EAST NEW MARKET - Anna G. Horst, 70, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge.
She was born Oct. 31, 1937 in Easton, daughter of the late Marion Jones and Dorothy Ewing Jones.
She married William "Bill" Horst on Sept. 11, 1955.
She is survived by three children, Bambi L. Helmer and her husband, Rodney of Hurlock, John W. Horst and his wife, Katherine of Anchorage, Alaska and Patricia M. McCabe and her husband, William of Concord, N.C.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, William Jones of Ridgely, John Jones of Ridgely, Alvin Jones Sr. of Magnolia, Del. and David jones of Lenoir City, Tenn; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, who died April 16, 2003 and one brother, Michael Jones.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight and also one hour prior to the service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market. The Rev. Dave Stewart will officiate. Burial will follow at the Maryland Veterans' Cemetery at Beulah.
Pallbearers will be R. J. Helmer, Rodney Helmer, William McCabe, Mark Fleetwood, Rodney Jones and Alvin Jones Jr.
