CRISFIELD - Alita Ream Ruark formerly of Marion, passed to her heavenly life on Nov. 16, 2013 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Born on Sept. 9, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Sarah Johnson Ream. Her husband, Horace Ruark, preceded her in death, 1997. Alita was a very talented lady who had many interests and who generously shared her talents to benefit others. She was a member of the Evangelical Wesleyan Church in Crisfield. She is survived by her beloved son, Alden Ruark (Connie) of Arizona, beloved daughter, Lorieta Simmons (Robert) of Delaware, two sisters-Gerri Brittingham (Donald) and Gretna Willis (Richard), grandsons-Jordan Ruark and Matthew Simmons and granddaughter- Samantha Blinde, nephews- Richard Willis (Elaine) and Clark Willis (Denise) nieces- Daphne Miller (Patrick) and Krista Holt (Chris). In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her foster brother, Harry Webster in 2013 and her nephew, Merle Brittingham in 1980. A memorial service conducted by Reverend Terry Riggin will be held on Saturday, March 15 at 1:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Wesleyan Church on Chesapeake Avenue in Crisfield.
