Alice C. Jackson, 75

CAMBRIDGE - Alice C. Jackson was peacefully taken home to be with her Lord Jesus on April 16, 2009 at her home. She was 75. Alice was born June 25, 1933, daughter of the late John L. and Gladys Smith. She was the oldest of seven children. She was employed at the Memorial Hospital for more than 30 years, she also worked at the Washington Pub and Mason's, Bruce & Vicki Berrier, all of Easton. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. She leaves to mourn her loss and to cherish her memory, her daughter, Evangelist Mary Elliott-Stanley; a son-in-law, Vincent Stanley Jr.; two granddaughters, Lisa M. Carpenter, and Faye A. Carson of Easton; three sisters, Mary B. Taylor (Howard) of Easton, Ruth R. Palmer of St. Michaels, and Pearl R. Warrick (Charles) of Easton; one brother, M. Wayne Smith (Lillie); sister-in-law, Arlette Smith of Ridgeland S.C.; and four grandchildren, Tyra and Trey Carpenter, Corey and Tifayene Carson. Funeral services will be noon Saturday, April 25, at Union Baptist Church, 223 Glenwood Ave., Easton, with a viewing Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the church.
