Albert C. Ellis Jr., 82 CAMBRIDGE - Albert C. Ellis Jr., passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010, in his niece's home in Odenton. He was 82. He was born March 22, 1927 in Baltimore, and was a son of the late Albert C. Ellis Sr. and Agnes Watts Ellis. He attended and graduated from Baltimore City Public Schools. He served in the United States Navy for two terms during World War II and the Korean War. He also served in the U.S. Navy Reserves. On July 5, 1953 he married the former Joycelyn Baier. Mrs. Ellis passed away June 4, 2001. He worked as a butcher and also a meat cutter. He was a member of Composite Lodge No 212 A.F. & A.M., Boumi Shriner's and he had been active in the Motor Corps, and had been President of the Motor Corps. He was also a member the Eastern Shore Shrine Club. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Ellis. He is survived by a daughter, Denise Albright of Baltimore; three sons, T.R. Ellis of Hudson, Jacob Ellis of Middlesex and Alex Ellis of Middlesex; five grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Ketland of Williamsport and Naomi John of Glen Rock, Pa.; and a beloved friend and companion, Eva Watts. A graveside Masonic Service was 1 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Old Whitemarsh Cemetery, near Trappe. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
