A night for the arts 'you can't refuse' this Friday
Now it’s your turn to “leave the gun, take the cannoli.” For a great cause, of course.
Join the Art Institute & Gallery, Salisbury’s nonprofit for the arts, at the Salisbury Elks Lodge for a night of suspense and delicious Italian food on Friday, May 29.
The Ovation Dinner Theater will be performing its interactive “Mafia Murders” dinner show. The troupe has performed sold-out shows all over the Delmarva region. Proceeds from the performance will help support AI&G. It’s an offer you can’t refuse.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Elks Lodge at 401 Church Hill Ave. Admission is $60 per person and includes a three-course dinner (vegetarian options included) as well as tax and gratuity.

Tips for Treats fundraiser is June 2 at Brick Room
The Salisbury Jaycees host “Tips for Treats,” a fundraiser for this year’s Treat Street safe Halloween trick-or-treating event, from 5 to 10 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, at The Brick Room in Downtown Salisbury.
The event features guest bartenders Megan Batchelder, Jess Kling and Emily Nock of the Jaycees’ board of directors. Tips collected by the trio throughout the evening benefit Treat Street, Salisbury’s largest free safe Halloween night trick-or-treating event, held in the downtown area.

SU Gallery to host Erik White works
Salisbury University Art Galleries hosts a solo exhibit by 2014 Art War competition winner Erik White at its Downtown Campus from June 5 through July 3.
A reception is 5 to 7 p.m. June 19 during the Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District’s monthly 3rd Friday celebration.
“Evil Paradise” features oil paintings representing White’s experiences traveling in the United States. Inspired by the work of Jean Michel Basquiat, he seeks to raise questions about societal norms while leaving the interpretation up to the viewer.
