Ten people face criminal charges after a prostitution sting at a Salisbury hotel, Maryland State Police said.

Troopers said complaints from residents and business owners in Wicomico County led to an investigation that resulted in multiple arrests for prostitution solicitation.

On June 15, troopers assigned to the Salisbury Barrack conducted an undercover operation out of the Hampton Inn on East Naylor Mill Road.

During the course of the operation, undercover officers made contact with several individuals looking to solicit prostitution.

Nine of those arrested were men, who offered to pay various sums of money, ranging from $42 to $100 in exchange for sexual favors from an undercover female trooper. Troopers said each man was arrested after exchanging money with the undercover officer and entering a hotel room.

One of the those arrested was a woman who agreed to engage in sex with an undercover trooper in exchange for $65, according to police.

Police said as a result of the operation, the following people were charged:

• Richard Ford, 64, Salisbury.
• Jasmine Henry, 23, Felton.
• Jason Yoder, 22, Delmar.
• Lamont Morton, Sr., 50, Salisbury.
• Emory Leonard Jr., 58, Berlin.
• Gordon Weitzel, 60, Salisbury.
• Jeffrey Muncey, 51, Ellendale.
• Douglas McCall II, 45, Stockton.
• Ryan Ramkhelawan, 38, Salisbury.
• Ergebe Tabour, 27, Silver Spring, Md.

Each person arrested was charged with solicitation for prostitution.

Each was taken to the Wicomico County Central Booking Center for processing and an initial appearance before a court commissioner.
