New Dogfish Head beer to launch
By REHOBOTH BEACH — On Aug. 7, Dogfish Head’s Rehoboth brewpub, Brewings & Eats at 320 Rehoboth Ave., will launch its third Benevolence Beer of 2024, “On a Wing and a Beer.”
According to the brewery, the beer is blonde stout was inspired by the variety of bird species that stop through Delaware during their migrations, as well as the insects that help pollinate the local plants. The beer’s ingredients – coffee, cocoa, blueberries and bee balm – play a key role in contributing to the biodiversity and health of ecosystems by providing food, habitat, and pollination services, which are crucial for the survival of many bird and insect species, the brewery explained in a release.
Ten percent of proceeds from the launch night and on Aug. 21 will benefit the Delaware Nature Society, according to Dogfish Head.
