DOVER – After years of travelling the country, facing some of the best small-college programs around, Wesley College’s football program finally have a schedule that looks more like most team’s.
The Wolverines will even play six home games on the 2015 slate, that coach Mike Drass announced on Monday morning. This will be the Wolverines’ first season playing as a member of the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
Wesley has played as an independent the last four seasons.
"We are excited about the 2015 schedule and our move into the NJAC conference," said Drass. We have enjoyed being an independent, but I look forward to our kids fighting for a conference championship and the opportunity to earn all-conference honors."
The Wolverines’ lone non-conference game is against Virginia University of Lynchburg, which comes to Dover on Sept. 26.
Wesley has made it to the NCAA Division III playoffs 10 years in a row, winning 114 games in that span with six appearances in the national semifinals.
