SMYRNA — Two teens wanted in connection with the shooting of a 19-year-old man last weekend surrendered to police Tuesday, authorities said.

Adryan Jean-Baptiste went to the Dover Police Department to face charges; Micah Rothwell later arrived at the Smyrna Police Department with a family member and was taken into custody without incident.

Both are 15-year-old Smyrna residents.

A man was wounded in the upper torso at approximately 4 p.m. Saturday in unit block of E. Glenwood Avenue near Trevi Restaurant, Smyrna Police spokesman Cpl. Brian Donner said. In a news release, police described the Jean-Baptiste youth as the alleged shooter.

The injured man was taken to Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital in Dover, treated and released.

According to police, the alleged shooting was sparked by an ongoing dispute over undisclosed property.

The Jean-Baptiste youth was charged with first-degree attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and first-degree conspiracy. He is being held at Stevenson House Detention Center in Milford on a $166,000 cash only bond.

The Rothwell youth was charged with first-degree attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and first-degree conspiracy. He is being held at Stevenson on a $156,000 cash only bond.

Police had earlier announced publicly that the Rothwell youth should be considered armed and dangerous as he remained unapprehended.

The teens were arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7 in Dover. Both cases were transferred to Family Court pending preliminary hearings.
