CAMDEN — Three men were arrested at Delaware State University late Wednesday night in connection with an armed robbery at the Waffle House in Camden on Dec. 31, 2015 and also face charges in four other jurisdictions, authorities said.

The Delaware State Police said Kameron Scott, 18, of the 5300 block of Mud Mill Road, west of Camden-Wyoming, Anthony Stafford-Jordan, 19, of the 200 block of West 25th Street in Wilmington and Devin A. Thomas, 19, of the 1100 block of Grange Parkway in Newark, were taken into custody by DSU police regarding an unrelated incident on campus.

The men arrested do not attend DSU, a school official said Thursday.

DSU Police charged Mr. Thomas with possession of a weapon with an altered serial number, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, aggravated menacing, possession of a weapon in a safe school zone, criminal impersonation, and second-degree criminal trespass, officials said.

Mr. Scott and Mr. Stafford-Jordan were each charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and second-degree criminal trespass.

The men also were charged by Dover, Camden and Milford police for alleged robberies in their area. State Police said more charges will be made regarding alleged robberies in New Castle County.

A computer check found Mr. Scott was wanted for an alleged shooting on Nov. 2, 2015, in Dover’s Beechwood neighborhood, police said, A 29-year-old man was wounded in the lower torso during the alleged incident, police said.

The Dover Police Department said the men were first contacted by campus police at 11 p.m. regarding a noise complaint in a dormitory building.

State Police detectives went to DSU and spoke to Mr. Scott, and saw he was wearing clothing seen on a suspect in video surveillance during an alleged series of statewide robberies under investigation, according to authorities said.

University police allegedly found Mr. Thomas with a 9mm handgun believed to be used in the string of robberies, police said.

The trio was transported to Troop 3 in Camden; charges included first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony and second-degree conspiracy for the Waffle House incident.

Mr. Safford-Jordan ($85,000 cash bond) and Mr. Thomas ($65,000 cash bond) were each held at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna.

Mr. Scott also was charged in the November shooting incident and held at Vaughn on $259,000 cash bond. Charges included first-degree attempted murder and robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and first-degree conspiracy.

An unidentified suspect remains at large for involvement in alleged incidents, and State Police asked anyone with information to contact Sgt. J. Lloyd at 698-8434.

Charges in Dover

Dover Police said the trio was charged in four armed robberies spanning Jan. 7 to Feb. 1. Locations included the Grocery Basket at 301 N. Bradford St., and three businesses on North Dupont Highway — the Wawa in the 2800 block, Hollywood Diner in the 100 block and 7-Eleven in the 600 block.

Mr. Thomas and Mr. Stafford-Jordan were each charged with four counts of first-degree robbery, and Ms. Scott was charged with two counts. All were charged with counts of conspiracy,

Other charges for Mr. Thomas included theft under $1,500, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony (two counts), carrying a concealed deadly weapon and wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony (two counts). He was given a $268,000 cash bond.

Mr. Scott also was charged with wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony (two counts), and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. A cash bond was set at $131,000.

Mr. Stafford-Jordan was charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony (two counts), possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony (four counts) and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. A $301,000 cash bond was ordered.
