HARRINGTON - Classic rockers Three Dog Night will perform at Harrington Raceway and Casino's Exhibit Hall at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4 as part of the On Stage – Harrington series line-up.

During the years from 1969 through 1974, no other group garnered more top 10 hits, sold more records and concert tickets than Three Dog Night. The group had 21 consecutive Top 40 Billboard hits (including three No. 1 singles), 11 Top 10s, 18 Top 20s and a multitude of Gold albums.

The group started when vocalists Danny Hutton, Chuck Negron and Cory Wells first came together in 1967 to form a band called Redwood. Abandoning the name Redwood in 1968, Mr. Hutton, Mr. Negron and Mr. Wells would then go on to establish a new band bringing on a backup group of musicians and took the name Three Dog Night. Their first Gold album was titled “One” which the title song would garner No. 5 on the music charts. Hits would follow including “Out In The Country”, "Eli’s Comin’”, “An Old Fashioned Love Song, “Never Been To Spain”, “Liar”, “Shambala” and “The Show Must Go On”. Their string of three No. 1 hits included “Mama Told Me (Not To Come)”, “Black and White” and the classic “Joy To The World”.

Most recently, the group began adding new songs to its playbook with the release of “Heart of Blues” and thea cappella ballad “Prayer of the Children” both available as digital releases. The group also recently recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra, giving fans a new take on their classic hits as well as arrangements of their new songs.

Tickets, at $44, go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. and can be purchased online at www.harringtonraceway.com, by calling 888-887-5687, Ext. 5246 or stopping by the Casino Gift Shop.
