HARRINGTON — Harrington Police arrested one teenager and are searching for another after a Nov. 28 shooting incident on Grant Street, authorities said Wednesday.

According to spokesman Lt. Earl K. Brode, officers on patrol were first summoned to the 100 block of Grant Street at approximately 11 p.m. after a shots fired report.

Police said investigation found that two suspects went to a party and were told by the owner they were not invited and asked to leave. The suspects then left the party and began walking away on foot towards West Street, police said.

Witnesses said the suspects fired three or four shots as they continued to flee, according to Lt. Brode. When the

shots were fired there were residents on Grant Street standing in their yards, police said. It is unknown if the suspects were firing at any person or property, authorities said.

No injuries were reported.

As the investigation continued, Jordan E. Dixon 16, of the 14000 block of Adams Road in Greenwood, and John T. Long 15, of the 1100 block of Deep Grass Lane in Greenwood, were identified as suspects, according to police.

Police obtained warrants for both juveniles charging them with two counts of first-degree reckless endangering, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, second-degree conspiracy and disorderly conduct.

Lt. Brode said the Dixon teen was taken into custody on Tuesday at his residence by Delaware State Police.

He was transported to Harrington PD for processing and then transported to JP Court 7 in Dover for arraignment, police said.

He was then committed to the Stevenson Juvenile Detention Center in default of $13,500 secured bond.
