FELTON — A 41-year-old Camden man sought after a violent robbery at a Felton area motel on Sept. 3 was apprehended in New Castle County on Monday, police said.

Acting on an anonymous tip at approximately 10 a.m., police said Courtney F. Goode Jr., of the 100 block of Loretta Drive, was taken into custody without incident in Elsmere by the Marshall’s Task Force.

Mr. Goode was arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court 2 in Rehoboth Beach on charges of first-degree kidnapping, first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, first-degree assault, possession of a firearm/ammunition by person prohibited, disguise and second-degree conspiracy.

Two arrests were made earlier after an incident in which a man was assaulted and robbed at Poynter’s Motel at 12338 South DuPont Highway, according to the Delaware State Police.

Police said investigation determined that a 24-year-old man met Aaliyah Coleman, 21, of Magnolia, at the motel, and was assaulted by two masked and gloved men in a room there. The man was taped to a chair by his hands and arms, and his mouth was taped, authorities said.

According to police in a probable cause affidavit, the unknown suspects “poured a chemical on his head that started to burn his scalp and the back of his neck ...”

Police said the man reported that his dreadlocks were cut off with a knife or scissors, and he saw a black colt revolver laying on the floor next to the chair before a cover was placed over his head.

While the man said he was told to count to 30 before exiting the room, according to police, “he waited a little longer to make sure they were all gone.”

The man freed himself and walked to a gas station where he was contacted by troopers, police said. He was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital. In court documents the injuries were described as a nasal fracture, chemical burns and a laceration to the right leg.

According to authorities in the affidavit, the man reported that $150 was stolen, along with his identification card and a cell phone.

Ms. Coleman was arrested at her residence on Sept. 8 and Michael W. Nunn, 26, of Felton was arrested on Sept. 12.

Police alleged that Ms. Coleman had contacted a man via social media in late August and befriended him. She allegedly planned the motel incident with Mr. Goode, police said.

Mr. Goode was also wanted by Milford Police on a misdemeanor harassment charge.
