Roundup: Simmons scores 20 as Raven girls top Glasgow

Jessica Simmons netted 20 points to pace St. Thomas More to a 59-24 victory over Glasgow in nonconference girls’ basketball on Thursday night.

The Ravens built a 32-10 halftime lead before improving to 12-6.

Aniah Patterson and Nicole Rainford both added 12 points for St. Thomas More.

Sussex Central 37, Cape Henlopen 28: The Golden Knights rallied from an early seven-point deficit to notch the Henlopen North victory.

Tashara Houston tallied a game-high nine points for Central in the low-scoring game.

Central outscored the Vikings 31-15 over the final three quarters.

Laurel 38, Indian River 20: The Bulldogs picked up the South win after limiting the Inians to just 20 points.

Woodbridge 42, Delmar 35: Kereny Sampson scored 15 points to spark the Raiders to their second straight victory.

Woodbridge outscored the Wildcats, 15-7, in the fourth quarter to pull out the win.

Aizha Brown scored a team-high 11 points for Delmar.
